Good luck in your triathalon. You're an inspiration (sort of like that other favorite son of Philadelphia Rocky Balboa). I went to church this evening and the fact you can deliver the message while riding a bike and running, and didn't appear to be too winded indicates you're ready.

Thoughts and prays for a hard "run" triathlon, Buddy. The Lord's blessings to guard and protect you and all competitors during your triathlon competition. You're hard work, dedication and LOVE of Christ is an inspiration to me. BTW- Parental Guidance Required series is rocking MY world and calling out of me all that i need to be for HIM to live in me!

In school I was a runner, and my hero was a guy named Terry Fox. His first passion was Basketball. He was short though, but he made the teams because he was so determined. When he was playing in college at the end of the season, he was diagnosed with a rare bone cancer, and his right leg was amputated. All through rehab, he planned to run across Canada, to raise money for research. The Marathon of Hope raised over 25 million dollars. He ran 3,339 miles in 4 1/2 mo. But he never made it all the way across Canada. I am sure that he was somewhat disapointed in himself, but I am also sure no one else was. Remember that Buddy. We will call you a Triathlete and never be disapointed in our Pastor. But when you have your game face on remember, shake it off, walk it off, run Cremeans run, swim Cremeans swim, petal Cremeans petal, and we all believe in you!

Buddy, I am so excited for you that you are doing this tri.! Over the six years that I've known you this might be the most amped up I've seen you (except when you found out your dad was going to be ok!)! This nervous, excited energy your feeling is a great thing! You will be able to tap into this adrenalin rush the morning of you race and it will help push you through! You should feel like your gliding through the water with the new wet suit you bought! You might even shave some time off your stroke too! With any long distance race it's important to pace yourself, don't push too hard or you will risk injury. For instance, when it's time to run, don't feel like you have to run the entire time. Alot of distance runners will run/walk, maybe an 8 and 2 pace. We run for 8 minutes and walk for 2 minutes, run for 8,walk for 2 etc. My best advice ( as I'm sure you know this) is to carb. load and hydrate like crazy the night before. It also helps to eat some electrolyte snacks during the race. We like the CLIF SHOT BLOCKS and the Jelly Belly sports beans. You could stash them in your bicycle helmet or running shoes for when you are done with your swim! Good luck , God Bless , be safe, we will be cheering for you and praying for you! YOU are the Man!!!!
