1 Samuel 12:24

But be sure to fear the LORD and serve him faithfully with ALL your heart; CONSIDER what great things he has done for you.

  • God, you have been a faithful friend to me.
  • God, you have been with me in every HIGH and low season of life.
  • God, you helped me face depression…. and navigate through it this year.
  • God, I know you are real……you are not just some story on a page.
  • God, you have been extremely patient with me.
  • God, you have given me the BEST bride for 20 years!
  • God, you have given me the BEST kids on the planet, Devin and Natalie.
  • God, you have given me the privilege of pastoring the greatest church, Northway Church!
  • God, I love the people at Northway Church.
  • God, I love my team….hands down the BEST!
  • God, you healed my dad of cancer this past year….still trying to process that one.
  • God, you made it possible to spend this Thanksgiving with Dad and Mom.
  • God, how can I say Thanks?
  • God, you have blessed my life.

Thank You.

Unprecedented Times is more than a message series…

It’s a game changer for Northway Church.

This weekend I’ll wrap up our series…but it’s really just the beginning.

Don’t miss this weekend.

I wish you could see…a team that does whatever it takes to get the job done.

I wish you could see…a team that doesn’t accept excuses.

I wish you could see…a team that welcomes conflict to make each other better.

I wish you could see…a team that is growing in humility.

I wish you could see…a team that improves and continues to raise their game.

I wish you could see…a messed up group of people that love Jesus passionately.

I wish you could see…a messed up group of people who truly care for one another.

I wish you could see…what I see everyday…

My team.

Joy to the World? Peace on Earth? With the latest news headlines, it can make you wonder… Does Christmas OVER-promise and under-deliver?  Is the idea of Christmas just an illusion?  Or, could it be that this Christmas is more relevant than ever?  Could it be the message of Christmas is needed NOW more than ever?  Join us as we unwrap our brand new 3 week series, “Christmas Illusions,” and discover the REAL HOPE OF CHRISTMAS.  –Series starts December 6th & 7th –

The buzz being generated by this series so far has been huge!  Props to Campus Pastor, Brian Howe, for coming up with this design idea and to Devin Cremeans for putting it all together!

So lately I have this new prayer …..It goes like this….

God help me not be a goat today.

That prayer probably won’t make sense to you unless you’ve read Matt 25 or watched the video on my last post. I believe all of us have goat like tendencies when we overlook obvious opportunities to help people. This new prayer has helped me a ton this week. I’m asking myself ….Am I a goat husband? Do I have time for everyone else and clock out on my bride? Do I help everyone else …but don’t offer help at home? If so, I may just be goatman. My follow up questions are….Am I a goat Dad? Am I a goat leader? Am I a goat boss? You get the idea.

Simple prayer, but keeping it on the frontal lobe has change my approach to everything this week. I encourage you to give it a try….let me know how it goats……I couldn’t resist.

Here is the video I promised…..sorry it’s late. I hope you enjoy it…..we had fun shooting it.
I think you can get a feel for creating tension with questions.
