2. Thou shalt not teach on Matt 24 and 25
I admit it…I’m no expert on Matt 24 and 25. Sometimes, because of my own insecurities, I may want to skip over a scripture I’m uncomfortable with. Well, God has called me on that BIG time with Matt 24 and 25. As a follower of Jesus and as a Pastor, I must be about ALL of His teachings…Period.
The cool thing has been to see how God has used my insecurities as a positive in our series, Unprecedented Times. Here is my take on Matt 24 and 25…the experts and most Christians miss it…completely miss it! Too strong? I don’t think so. In fact, Jesus says MANY miss it. When our time on earth is done, Jesus will not ask any of us our theological bent on the timeline of Matt 24 and 25. It’s clear He will ask all of us…
- Did you live your life in the reality I could return at any time?
- Did you live your life to help the least of these?

I must have read Matthew 24 & 25 so many times over the years but never has it spoken to me like it has this past month. You helped me see it in more detail…in a new and refreshing way. So much meat in just 2 chapters. I’m still digesting it.
