Just saw Golgotha…the place where Jesus was crucified and visited the tomb. I’m speechless! All I can tell you now is…I’ve never felt like that before.
Wednesday, 10:30 am, en route to Jerusalem
I never even thought twice about how far Jesus and his disciples walked, or how far people walked to see and hear Jesus. Today, we are the on the road to Jerusalem from the Sea of Galilee. It’s about a 2 hour ride and I’m taken back by how the terrain changes. From lush Maui-like mountains to a desolate desert landscape. To say this would be challenging by foot is an understatement! I just found out some interesting factoids about this road…enjoy the view!

Just saw the place where Jesus was baptized in the Jordan River…thinking about getting dunked 
Tasted some of the honey that John the Baptist lived off of and it was awesome! It’s actually from date trees…yum! Good to know if you ever play Bible Trivia Pursuit!
2:00pm, The Sea of Galilee
To be where Jesus spent so much of his time. To be where Jesus walked along the shore. To be where Jesus picked his team. To be where Jesus calmed the sea. To be where Jesus walked on the sea. To be or not to be…This is my favorite!

Standing where it all started…the greatest message in all of history: the sermon on the mount (Matthew 5, 6, 7). The best way to live!

On the way to the Sea of Galilee I was surprised to discover that Mt. Carmel…where the prophet Elijah called fire down from heaven (1 Kings 18) is right next to the valley of Armageddon. It felt a little creepy seeing it to be honest…the final battle according to prophecy. I have been so focused on retracing the steps of Christ that prophecy wasn’t on my mind…it is now.
