I am so excited about what God is doing during our current series, 21 Day Challenge, as we take responsibility of our future by developing new habits.

We are learning a new habit every weekend, but also every day of the week right here.

This weekend is going to be exciting as I talk about the most powerful habit that has the potential to change your life!

Invite your friends!

I hope to see you in Clifton Park, Colonie or the Berkshires this weekend!

Do you like to garden? Well, it’s that time of the year again! My wife Debbie loves to garden. She will spend countless hours planting things all over our yard. Conversely, I don’t share Debbie’s same enthusiasm for gardening, so I asked her… “Debbie, what is it about gardening that you enjoy so much?” Debbie’s response was… “I love to see something come from nothing.”

I understand what she was saying but is that really accurate? Does something really come from nothing or does it just appear that something came from nothing. Many times we look at peoples successes in the same way and say, “well, that just happened for them”, or “they just got a lucky break”. Is that correct or does it just appear that their successes came from nothing?

Too often, we miss the connection that it’s something deeper in their lives. Something planted in their lives. It’s the habit of harvest. Harvest… A habit? Yes it is. Scripture tells us in Gal 6:7 that what we plant, we harvest. Scripture tells us that our thoughts are seeds, our words are seeds, and our decisions are seeds. What you sow will grow. I’ll talk more about all of these seeds in future posts. However, today I just want to talk about the habit of harvest. The harvest habit is about taking responsibility for your future. The harvest habit is a razor sharp awareness of the seeds that we plant. The harvest habit is a HIGH ALERT habit of consciousness. The harvest habit is all about STOPPING BEFORE we plant seeds into our future and asking the question….

IS THIS SEED SOMETHING I WANT TO GROW INTO A HARVEST FOR MY FUTURE?

All of us have seeds that we wish we could go back in time and uproot. Unfortunately that is not possible. The good news is that we all can learn from our past and start planting a new positive future. Let me encourage you today… It’s never too late to start planting new seeds.

What you plant, you harvest. Galatians 6:7

Prayer: Dear God, Help me to not live on auto pilot in my life. Help me to stop and consider my future with the seeds that I plant. God, taking responsibility for my future seeds starts today. Thank you, God, that it’s never too late to start planting positive seeds into my future. God, Give me razor sharp discernment as I develop the harvest habit.

Yesterday you saw me take on Olympian Trevor Marsicano in an upper body endurance challenge!

Trevor’s silver medal was at stake and I walked away with it…

I have to be honest though… I felt pretty bad! Trevor worked hard for that medal!

I decided to have one more competition, but this time we would try the lower body.

Will Trevor get his medal back? :)

It’s Day 9 of the 21 Day Challenge! How are you doing? You are almost half way there!

I am getting ready to post some more habits, but first figured that I would show you when I challenged Olympian Trevor Marsicano to a little healthy gym competition.

What do I get if I win? One shiny silver medal!
